Slowly but surely

Wed Sep 6, 2006, 4:34 PM
Art has still been slow in coming, but I have managed to get a few small colour studies done. Nothing worth posting, or even keeping around for that matter. I did have the chance to do some pottery a few weeks ago. If I think about it, I might take a few pictures and post those.

I'm going to try my hand at oil painting for the first time next week. I have an older and experienced artist friend who is going to help me out at first. The art classes I took at the community college forbade us to use any oils, so it should be a neat experience. When I get those done, I'll try to get a few of them up here.

If homosexuality is considered a disease, we should all call into work sick. "Hello, can't come to work today, still queer."

hey, i looked over your gallery a bit.it's a good start. i'd suggest reading "drawing on the right side of the brain" by betty edwards to help you open up your style more. and work on drawing from life to improve your eye, try drawing still life set-ups or from photographs. 90 % of drawing is looking! good luck and keep drawing!
