Joscelin

Art has still been slow in coming, but I have managed to get a few small colour studies done. Nothing worth posting, or even keeping around for that matter. I did have the chance to do some pottery a few weeks ago. If I think about it, I might take a few pictures and post those. I'm going to try my hand at oil painting for the first time next week. I have an older and experienced artist friend who is going to help me out at first. The art classes I took at the community college forbade us to use any oils, so it should be a neat experience. When I get those done, I'll try to get a few of them up here.

I've spent the past two months or so deep in home improvement projects and moving people. New floor in the living room and subfloor in the entry way, new mouldings, new paint (some inside but most out). I've still got a bathroom to remodel, but other than that things are settling down. I'm working on ideas for a 30x40 canvas, so whenever I get that together I'll be sure to post it. Nothing new on the digital front, I've been focusing on quick sketches lately.

After a bad experience trying to get a print from a local printer, I decided to get a print account here. Assuming I order more than three prints from here, I'll save money from the outrageous fees the printer charged. Hopefully the quality from DA will be higher. I don't expect anyone other than me to buy any of my prints, but I think I'll be worth it in the end.
